arikla This piece is stunning, I love how the artist has portrayed a pure, clean white fur by shading the shadows with blue. The gentleness in his face is touching and oddly comforting. (

My only gripe, though, is the placement of the knotwork. While I do feel it's an appropriate artistic flourish, it would have looked better behind the main figure, which, at the moment, looks "boxed-in", therefore, creating a sense of claustrophobia.
Also, another thing to consider is the shape of the deer's head. Some more subtle shading would have helped to emphasize the form of his face.
In spite of all that, this is a wonderfully well-crafted piece.
